Emergency First Response (EFR) delivers not only the latest in layperson emergency care, it's also flexible --you can learn on your own time, and then participate in a practical, hands-on training sessions with a qualified Emergency First Response instructor.
Our Independent Study approach allows you to learn at your own pace using the EFR manual and EFR video. Then you will attend an Instructor Led Skill Development and Scenario Practice. You'll come to class prepared to review your completed Knowledge Review worksheet(s) and participate in skill development. EFR's Primary Care Course (CPR) teaches you how to deal with life-threatening and non life-threatening emergencies. Here are some of the skills you'll learn in the Promary Care (CPR) course: - Rescue Breathing - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) - Serious bleeding management - Shock Management - Spinal injury management EFR's Secondary Care Course (first aid) teaches you illness and injury assessment, bandaging, and how to splint for dislocations and fractures. Both Courses use a combination of Knowledge Development, Skill Development and Scenario Practice to make sure you have the knowledge, understanding and confidence to use your skills if you ever need to do so. |
