This is a scuba course for beginners. A PADI "Open Water" certification qualifies you to:
(1) dive with a buddy independent of professional supervision while applying the knowledge and skills you learn in this course, within the limits of your training and experience.
(2) obtain air fills, scuba equipment, and other services.
(3) plan, conduct and log open water no stop (no decompression) dives when properly equipped and when accompanied by a buddy in conditions with which you have training and/or experience.
(4) continue your dive training with a specialty dive (Adventure Dive), in the PADI Adventures in Diving program or in PADI specialty courses.

A PADI "Advanced Open Water" certification improves your diving skills and confidence. Two modules are required (i.e., Deep dive and Navigation dive), but you select your other 3 electives from areas you're interested in, e.g., wreck diving, underwater photography, underwater naturalist, multi-level diving, etc.

EFR's Primary Care Course (CPR) teaches you how to deal with life-threatening and non life-threatening emergencies. Here are some of the skills you'll learn in the Promary Care (CPR) course:
- Rescue Breathing
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Serious bleeding management
- Shock Management
- Spinal injury management
EFR's Secondary Care Course (first aid) teaches you illness and injury assessment, bandaging, and how to splint for dislocations and fractures.

A PADI "Rescue Diver" certification is a great experience, whether you're becoming a Divemaster or just want to be able to handle diving emergencies. You'll also become a better dive buddy.

A PADI "Divemaster" certification is a professional certification and the gateway to a career in scuba diving. The role of the Divemaster may vary greatly, but in general they oversee diving activities or serve as underwater guides.

A PADI "Dry Suit" certification qualifies you to dive in a dry suit in conditions comparable to or better than those in which you have experience and training. Also, a growing number of dive centers and resorts require you to show a dry suit certification before you can purchase or rent one.

A PADI "Enriched Air (Nitrox)" certification is designed to teach you the procedures for safe, recreational no decompression diving with enriched air. The course covers the equipment and procedural concerns involving enriched air. You'll learn how to plan dives and determine your no decompression limits and your oxygen exposure limits with enriched air. You'll learn the proper procedures for obtaining enriched air, as well as the hazards associated with handling and diving with enriched air.

The PADI Wreck Diver Specialty course familiarizes divers with the skills, knowledge, planning, organizaiton, procedures, techniques, problems, hazards, and excitement of diving on wrecks. The course is intended as a safe, supervised introduction to wreck diving, with emphasis on fun and safety.
